How to Deposit to and Withdraw from OKX: Network Selection and Checks for Delayed or Uncredited Transfers

Affiliate disclosure: This article contains an OKX partner link. If you register or trade through it, the site operator may receive compensation. User benefits vary by account, region, VIP tier and campaign; check the sign-up page and My Rewards for the terms actually applied.

The most important thing when depositing to or withdrawing from OKX is to ensure that the coin name, network, address, and Memo/Tag match exactly on both the sending and receiving sides. Deposit and withdrawal availability, minimum amounts, confirmation counts, network fees, and limits vary by asset, chain, account, and region, so check the information displayed immediately before transferring. Even a small test transfer must first meet the minimum amount and fee requirements, and it does not eliminate all transfer risks.

A deposit is a transfer from an external exchange or wallet to OKX, while a withdrawal is a transfer from OKX to an external destination. Moving assets between Funding and Trading within the same account and making an internal transfer to another OKX user are separate functions. This article focuses on on-chain cryptocurrency deposits and withdrawals and does not address fiat deposits or imply availability in every region.

Before deciding to transfer, you can use the OKX pre-transfer checker to organize your checks of the asset, network, Memo/Tag, minimum amount, and fees on both screens. No address entry or wallet connection is required. If anything is unconfirmed or does not match, hold off on the transfer and check the official screens or contact customer support. This tool is optional guidance for on-chain transfers; it does not verify actual addresses, accounts, or transfer availability, or determine whether a transfer is safe. Internal transfers, bridges, and swaps are outside its scope.

Key pre-deposit and withdrawal checklist

Check in this order: First, open the receiving platform's deposit screen. Confirm the supported asset and network and that deposits are available, then copy the address and Memo/Tag and review the minimum amount, confirmation count, and Travel Rule requirements. Next, compare the same information on the sending platform's withdrawal screen and check the amount to be received after fees. Even if you have a saved address, check support status again for this transfer.

Item to checkWhat to compare on both screensRisks of an error
AssetThe exact coin or token and whether it is supported. If symbols are the same, also check the supported contract.A different token may not be credited and may be unrecoverable
NetworkThe sending withdrawal network matches the receiving deposit networkA different chain may result in asset loss or a recovery review
AddressThe receiving platform's current deposit address and the pasted address match in fullTypos, similar-looking addresses, or clipboard tampering
Memo/TagEnter it accurately with the address when required by the receiving platformIf omitted or entered incorrectly, the deposit may not be credited and may be unrecoverable
Amounts and limitsMinimum withdrawal amount and account limits are met, and the amount after fees meets the minimum deposit amountAmounts below the minimum may not be credited
FeesThe sending platform's withdrawal and gas fees and the final amount to be received shown on the confirmation screenVaries by congestion, asset, and chain
Travel RuleReceiving VASP, sender and recipient information, and additional verification requirements on both sidesMismatches or omissions may lead to a hold, return, or request for clarification

Do not transfer solely because the coin names match. For assets such as USDT that circulate on multiple networks, you must select the same network that both sides actually support. Do not skip checking that the networks match simply because address formats look similar or the same address appears usable. When the receiving platform requires a Memo/Tag, treat it together with the address as a single set of receiving details.

How to deposit to OKX: 7 steps for both web and app

  1. Check KYC and account status: OKX's official help documentation states that identity verification is required for deposits. If your account is restricted, check the on-screen message first.
  2. Assets → Deposit → Deposit crypto: Search for the asset you want to deposit.
  3. Select the deposit network: From the networks actually displayed by OKX, select the same network that the sending platform also supports.
  4. Check the address and Memo/Tag: Use the copy button, but compare the entire address again after pasting it. If a Memo/Tag is displayed, copy it as well.
  5. Enter the withdrawal details on the sending platform: Enter the asset, network, address, Memo/Tag, amount, and recipient information.
  6. Consider a small test transfer if needed: Only if an actual transfer is necessary and you have checked the requirements on both sides, consider a small test transfer that meets the minimum deposit amount and fee requirements. A successful test does not guarantee that subsequent transfers will be supported or safe.
  7. Check block confirmations and crediting status: Compare OKX Deposit history with the TxID on the block explorer. Crediting may be delayed until the required number of confirmations is reached.

OKX states that you can select Funding or Trading as the deposit account on the deposit details screen. The actual menu and availability may vary by app version and account.

Receiving details diagram showing the deposit address and, where required, the Memo/Tag to check together
AKEYX illustrative diagram. Use a Memo/Tag only when required on the receiving screen for the relevant asset and network. Do not create and enter an arbitrary value.

If the receiving screen shows a Memo/Tag but the sending screen has no field for it, stop the transfer and contact the sending platform's official customer support. Conversely, if the receiving side does not require one, do not assume it is always necessary. You must distinguish between cases handled using only a deposit address and those that also require a tag.

How to withdraw from OKX: On-chain withdrawals

  1. Generate an address on the receiving platform first: Check the deposit asset and network, Memo/Tag, minimum deposit amount, and Travel Rule requirements.
  2. OKX Assets → Withdraw: Select Withdraw crypto and the asset to withdraw on-chain.
  3. Enter the address and network: Select the same network as the destination platform and paste the address and Memo/Tag.
  4. Verify recipient information: Truthfully enter the information requested on screen, including whether the destination is an exchange or a personal wallet, the receiving VASP, and the recipient’s name and country.
  5. Check the amount, fees, and amount received: Check the minimum withdrawal amount, account limits, network fee, and estimated amount to arrive.
  6. Complete 2FA or passkey authentication: Complete the authentication procedure configured for your account. Do not share authentication codes with anyone.
  7. Track the status and TxID: Check statuses such as Requested, Pending, Withdrawing, and Completed. Completed means the assets have left OKX; check the receiving platform to confirm they have been credited.

Internal transfers between OKX users may differ from on-chain withdrawals in structure and fees. Incorrect recipient email, phone number, UID, or verification status information could result in a transfer to someone else, so do not reduce verification checks simply because the transfer is “free.”

Fees and limits: Why you should check the screen rather than rely on fixed figures

Even if OKX does not display a separate fee for the deposit itself, the sending exchange or wallet charges a withdrawal fee or blockchain gas fee. Network fees for OKX on-chain withdrawals vary by asset and network and are displayed on the confirmation screen.

Total transfer cost = sending platform withdrawal fee or gas fee + intermediate bridge and swap costs + separate processing costs at the destination platform

The formula above lists the costs incurred; it does not mean that quantities of different assets can be added directly. For example, if the transfer is in USDT and the gas fee is charged from a separate ETH balance, do not subtract the ETH quantity directly from the USDT transfer amount. Check the amount of USDT to be received and the ETH to be spent separately. To convert the total cost, you must separately specify the price source, reference time, and conversion unit. Do not deduct a fee again if it is already reflected in the estimated amount to arrive. This AKEYX explanation distinguishes between units and deduction methods; actual costs are determined by the confirmation screen. You can check network tokens and how fees are displayed in the official OKX Wallet gas fee guide.

Check the minimum deposit requirement against the amount arriving after fees. To illustrate the calculation, assume an entered amount of 11, a deducted fee of 1, and a destination platform minimum deposit of 10, all in the same asset unit. The amount arriving is 11 − 1 = 10. If the entered amount is 10, the same assumptions yield an arriving amount of 9, below the minimum. These are not actual OKX rates or minimums; this example applies only when the fee is deducted from the entered amount. If the fee is charged from a separate balance, recalculate using the amount shown as arriving on the confirmation screen. A small test transfer must also meet the minimum.

Calculation showing that deducting a fee of 1 from an assumed amount of 11 yields an arriving amount of 10, meeting the assumed minimum deposit of 10
AKEYX hypothetical calculation diagram. The figures are in the same asset unit and are not actual fees or minimum deposit amounts. Trading fees, funding fees, spreads, slippage, and gains or losses from price changes are not included.

Even for the same USDT, fees, congestion, destination platform support, and minimum amounts vary by network. You cannot use the cheapest network if the destination platform does not support it. Withdrawal limits are not uniform figures either; check the current limit on screen based on your KYC level, account risk review, asset, and region.

To calculate trading fees together with deposit and withdrawal costs, refer to the AKEYX guide to checking and calculating OKX fees.

Travel Rule verification steps for users in Korea

The Travel Rule is a regulatory framework requiring the verification and transmission of sender and recipient information for certain virtual asset transfers. Applicable thresholds, recognized VASPs, personal wallet verification methods, and required documents may vary depending on the sending exchange, receiving exchange, and applicable jurisdictional regulations.

  1. Check the Korean exchange’s notices to see whether OKX is currently a supported overseas VASP.
  2. Check that recipient information, such as the English name and date of birth provided for KYC, matches between the Korean exchange and OKX.
  3. Accurately select the VASP name, whether the destination is a personal wallet, and the recipient information requested on the deposit or withdrawal screen.
  4. Be prepared to provide the transaction purpose, source of funds, TxID, exchange account screen, and proof of wallet ownership if required.
  5. Rather than relying on generalizations such as “all five major Korean exchanges are automatically connected,” check the current-day notice from the exchange you actually use.

For product, KYC, and deposit and withdrawal restrictions on Korean accounts and the risks of bypassing restrictions with a VPN, see the guide to using OKX in Korea.

When a deposit is not visible or a withdrawal is delayed

First, check how far the transfer has progressed. The withdrawal request, blockchain transfer, required block confirmations, and crediting to the receiving account balance are separate stages. The OKX app may show statuses such as Withdrawal Requested → Pending → Withdrawing → Completed, while other notices may use In Progress or Sent, so review the actual status description alongside the TxID. Do not determine that processing is complete on every platform based on a single status name.

Transfer stages distinguished from the withdrawal request through blockchain recording and confirmation to crediting the receiving account balance
AKEYX illustrative diagram. Completion of blockchain confirmations and crediting by the receiving platform are separate events. This diagram does not guarantee processing times or successful crediting.
  1. No TxID, or the transaction cannot be found on the relevant network explorer: First check the sending platform’s withdrawal history, review, and security lock status. If the transfer is marked as sent but there is no on-chain record, contact the sending platform’s official customer support. If you are withdrawing from OKX, contact OKX.
  2. A TxID exists, but there are insufficient confirmations: Check the network and transaction status and compare the confirmation count with the receiving platform’s requirement. Do not conclude that the transfer has failed merely because a fixed number of minutes has passed, or repeat the same transfer.
  3. On-chain transaction succeeded and required confirmations are complete, but the balance has not been credited: Check the receiving address, network, supported token, Memo/Tag, minimum amount, and any requests for additional information, then contact the receiving platform. For a deposit to OKX, contact OKX; for a withdrawal from OKX to another destination, contact the receiving platform.
  4. Incorrect network, address, or Memo/Tag, or an amount below the minimum: Do not attempt to fix the issue with another transfer. First check through official channels whether recovery is possible and what documentation is required. Recovery or return is not guaranteed, and deposits below the minimum may not be eligible for processing or return.

The official OKX withdrawal delay guide says you may contact customer support if a Pending or In progress status lasts more than 1 hour. This is a contact threshold for that status, not a promise that every transfer will arrive within 1 hour. Check maintenance, Travel Rule reviews, and security restrictions separately, following the steps required on screen. These troubleshooting steps distinguish whom to contact based on the official guide to uncredited deposits and the official guide to withdrawals that have not arrived.

Incorrect networkSupport and recovery options on both platforms, and official customer supportSharing a seed phrase or authentication code with an individual who guarantees recovery
Withdrawal restrictionKYC, locks following security setting changes, risk review, limits, and Travel Rule informationBypassing restrictions using a VPN, another identity, or a duplicate account
Completed but not creditedWhether the TxID shows a successful transaction, the confirmation count on the receiving platform, and the Memo/TagRepeatedly sending new transfers based only on the OKX status

When contacting customer support, prepare the TxID, asset, network, amount, time, sending and receiving addresses, Memo/Tag, and screenshots of the deposit and withdrawal history. Do not provide passwords, seed phrases, private keys, or 2FA codes.

What should I check if a deposit has been credited but I cannot withdraw it?

Different confirmation requirements may apply to crediting a deposit and unlocking withdrawals. OKX's official deposit progress guide distinguishes between the number of confirmations required for a deposit to be credited and the number required to unlock withdrawals and P2P selling. In the deposit details, compare the current confirmation count against each requirement. Do not assume that you can withdraw immediately just because the balance is visible.

Status in deposit detailsAssessment and next checks
Deposit crediting requirement not metFirst check the on-chain transaction and current confirmation count. The deposit may not yet be credited.
Crediting requirement met; withdrawal unlock requirement not metWithdrawals and P2P selling may remain locked even if the balance is visible. Check whether the higher confirmation requirement has been met.
Both requirements met; restriction message still displayedDo not assume that the confirmation count is the only issue. Check the actual reason for the restriction and any requests for additional information, and contact official customer support.

This is an AKEYX assessment table that divides the official requirements into stages for the same deposit; it is not the result of direct deposit or withdrawal testing. Depending on the asset, network, and account, security or review restrictions other than these requirements may apply. If the two requirements are not shown on the details screen, or if the restriction continues after both have been met, do not estimate the waiting time or make additional transfers; seek official confirmation. Pre-transfer checklist

  • Do both platforms actually support the same asset and network?
  • Have you rechecked the full address and Memo/Tag?
  • Have you checked the minimum deposit and withdrawal amounts and current limits?
  • Have you checked the network fee and estimated final amount to be received?
  • Does the KYC name match the Travel Rule recipient information?
  • If you are considering a small test transfer, does it meet the minimum amount and fee requirements, and do you understand that a successful test does not guarantee subsequent transfers?
  • Have you enabled the withdrawal address allowlist and 24-hour lock for new addresses, anti-phishing protection, and 2FA?

Checks before and after signing up with OKDCC

For the referral code OKDCC, first check the code and displayed benefits on the signup screen, then check the actual application status in My Rewards after signing up. Referral fee benefits may be separate from blockchain withdrawal and network fees. Check account, regional, VIP, and campaign conditions in the OKX referral code application guide.

Frequently asked questions

Are OKX deposits free?

Even if the OKX deposit screen shows no separate deposit fee, the sending exchange or wallet may charge a withdrawal fee or network gas fee.

Should I choose the cheapest USDT network?

No. Both platforms must support the same network, and you should also check the minimum amount, arrival speed, Travel Rule requirements, and recovery options.

Will a deposit be recovered automatically if I omit the Memo/Tag?

It may not be credited automatically, and recovery is not guaranteed. Prepare the TxID and supporting evidence and check the official deposit recovery procedure.

My withdrawal is marked Completed, but it has not arrived.

Completed means the transfer has been sent from OKX. Check whether the TxID shows a successful on-chain transaction, the confirmation count on the receiving platform, the network, and the Memo/Tag, then contact the receiving platform.

Are all Korean exchanges integrated with OKX for the Travel Rule?

No blanket conclusion can be made. Check the supported VASP list, same-name requirements, and announcements for the day on the Korean exchange you actually use.

Can I withdraw immediately once the deposit appears in my balance?

Not always. The number of confirmations required to credit a deposit may differ from the number required to unlock withdrawals and P2P selling. Check the current confirmation count and both requirements in the deposit details. If a restriction remains after the requirements are met, check the actual restriction message and contact official customer support.

Official sources and review dates

Review date for official guidance on deposit and withdrawal procedures, addresses/Memo, minimum amounts, uncredited deposits, and the Travel Rule: October 11, 2026. Supported assets and networks, minimum amounts, confirmation counts, fees, limits, KYC, Travel Rule requirements, and security authentication may change. Check the latest screens on both OKX and the other platform immediately before transferring.

Partial review on November 3, 2026: We compared official guidance on deposit progress, uncredited deposits, withdrawal procedures, and gas fees, clarified the distinction between deposit crediting and withdrawal unlocking, the asset units in which costs are charged, and the limitations of small test transfers, and linked the pre-transfer checker. The official deposit progress guide above was updated on September 14, 2026, which differs from the AKEYX review date. This review did not reverify all existing Travel Rule and regional regulations, or support, rates, and minimum amounts for individual accounts.
